Responsibilities of the Audit Support Specialist II
- Reviews, routes, and tracks complaints involving dealers, driver training schools, and third-party testers. Notifies relevant parties of complaint status.
- Assists the audit team in preparation of pre-audit reports, post-audit reports, documentation, and presentations. Attends audit meetings and documents meeting minutes.
- Receives and reconciles secure credentials received from branch offices and headquarters business units. Completes related reports.
- Answers customer and staff inquiries related to dealer licenses, driver training schools, third-party testers, complaints, audit preparation, and secure credentials.
- Performs administrative functions to support the audit teams and audit management team to include completing reports, maintaining files, travel arrangements, and ordering supplies.
- Assists in other areas of the Office of Inspector General as needed. Performs other related duties as required.
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to operate standard office equipment. Must be well-versed with basic computer operations including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team setting or independently.
- Must be attentive to details and exercise discretion.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply policies.
- Works under general supervision, with the ability to exercise independent, judgement, thinking and decision making in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
- Works in climate-controlled office environment.
- May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
- Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
