Summary
Our G.I. Specialty Practice is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant to conduct screening interviews of patients prior to procedures at both our Monterey and Salinas locations. This position is primarily clerical in nature. There may be an occasional need to assist with rooming patients.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct telephone screening interviews with patients prior to colonoscopy
- Provide written and verbal dietary and procedure prep instructions
- Scheduling
- Cross trained to assist in other positions as needed
- This position is full time, flexible 30-40 hours per week; Monday thru Friday.
- Must have a Medical Assistant certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required
- Present a professional appearance
- Ability to, verbally, communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written form
- Work well with patients, physicians, management, and staff
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Have excellent data entry skills
- Have excellent penmanship
Salary: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
