Administrative Assistant For Medical Front Office

General Description

All Front Office staff are expected to have a working knowledge of the services and functions of the clinic. Provide clerical support for the efficient running of the Practice.

Responsible for:

• Credit Card information, Cash/Checks received from patients on behalf of the Practice until disposed of in accordance with current instructions.
• Safe custody of Medical Records and other confidential information.
• Daily review of the Referral log

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct all calls in a professional, friendly manger and take complete messages with the current date and time and deliver the message to the appropriate party as soon as possible.
• Make new and follow up appointments
• Receive credit card information, cash and/or checks from patients for these services, issue proper receipts, and appropriately record receipt of such monies.
• Verify and input correct patient demographics and information, schedule appointments, and mail or fax medical records.
• Prepares and maintains patient chart and files for new and existing patients.
• Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
• Confirms existing appointment with patients.
• Deliver mail to appropriate department
• Package Shipping and Receiving

Requirements:

• A minimum of Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business or Equivalent experience in related field
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
• Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various task as required.
• Good time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
