The Administrative Coordinator II will perform a wide variety of administrative services within the department of Emergency Medicine. Coordinates office support operations.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Plans and schedules the work of the section to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment, resources and materials within budgetary requirements.
- Prepares departmental reports. Assists in preparing studies of human resources, space and equipment utilization, etc. Handles administrative or statistical details for special projects.
- Serves as liaison between the department and administrative units, such as Purchasing, Human Resources, IST, Accounting and Payroll.
- Assists in the preparation of department budget by compiling data and preparing recommendations. Maintains records of fiscal expenditures, provides appropriate documentation.
- Provides administrative support for the Chair and Administrator of the department including scheduling meetings and processing routine correspondence.
- Schedule various meetings for department and make all necessary arrangements for the meeting such as room reservations, room set up, order audio visual equipment.
- Expedites and coordinates services such as maintenance, service and repairs, supplies and mail.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus one (1) year of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, supervision of staff, etc.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
- Must be proficient in computer applications as required by the department.
- Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing. No special vision requirements.
- Work Environment: Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
