Job Summary
Proposal coordinators contribute to the quoting process when companies prepare proposals for business projects. These individuals help prepare the proposal schedule, perform research, organize content, and create and organize formal proposals for submission.
Duties and Responsibilities
A proposal coordinator is responsible for establishing a company's guidelines, vision, and financial outline for completed proposals. The proposals are usually created with a timeframe, and many times you will be working with a team to complete the proposal before a deadline. Different sections of your team will work together to complete the proposal, each making individual contributions according to their skill set.
As the proposal coordinator, you will work to edit and design the finalized proposal document. Proposals contain but are not limited to engineering services, complex site plans, plot plans, etc. You will also work to communicate the proposal in various ways. You will be ensuring that the established template is followed. You will also work with the proposal team to ensure that deadlines are met. In many situations, you could be working on multiple proposals at the same time. As a proposal coordinator you will be responsible for communicating the progress of proposals to management. You will monitor all proposals and see through the jobs that are taken in and or follow up on ones that have not come back or processed. You will need to answer incoming calls from clients, answering emails, obtaining answers to clients' needs and questions. You will be required to establish/create invoices through Quickbooks/BigTime software. Utilizing our platform of GreenFolders and being able to accurately run reports and input new orders/jobs. There may be additional job duties for this role established by management.
Required Education
Proposal coordinators are expected to have a business marketing certificate. A degree and experience in the field of business, marketing, or proposals is a plus. You will also need to be skilled in an office productivity suite like Microsoft Office and design-based software such as Microsoft Publisher or Adobe, QuickBooks, BigTime, Outlook, and GreenFolders. Proposal coordinators are the final eye for proposals, so along with the education, you will need to be able to accurately proofread the entire proposal. Experience in the Civil Engineering field and basics entailed in submitting proposals in this line of work is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
