Company Description
Delta Water Processing is a centralized waste treatment facility located in Houston, TX. We are authorized by a Texas Pollution Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permit to manage Subcategory B (Oily Waters) and Subcategory C (Organic Streams) wastewaters. With our phase separation capabilities using oil water separators and a dissolved air flotation unit, we can handle a wide variety of wastewater streams. Our process flow includes biological treatment that is closely monitored in our on-site laboratory to ensure compliance with our TPDES permit before discharge into the Houston Ship Channel.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Administrative Assistant at Delta Water Processing in Houston, TX. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing general administrative support, managing phone calls, implementing effective communication strategies, and assisting executive personnel with administrative tasks. The role requires strong clerical skills and attention to detail.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting office visitors and composing documents.
- Supports and coordinates administrative tasks for the office as well as the support of the team.
- Maintain customer relationships.
- Answering and directing phone calls.
- Data entry.
- Create reports and presentations (excel and PowerPoint).
- Review documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Organize documents and maintain a filing system.
- Collaborate with other team members on projects and other tasks.
- Assist with collections.
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
Requirements:
- Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Experience in providing executive administrative assistance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in the wastewater treatment industry is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED (Two years college or equivalent work experience preferred)
- Three years of related experience or relevant coursework
- Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
- Good oral and written communication skills
