1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills.
3. Three (3) years of secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment.
4. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
5. Excellent verbal communication skills.
6. Effective organization and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and/or in a team-oriented environment.
8. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
9. Ability to perform a variety of tasks often changing assignments on short notice with some direction.
10.Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
11.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$32,190 - CP4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2023-2024
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor the applicant system and respond as necessary.
2. Receive, review and process employment applications, references (rehire eligibility) and other application materials.
3. Maintain interview calendar. Schedule interviews and communicate schedule with interviewers.
4. Assist employees in completing pre-employment forms.
5. Request appropriate background checks & physicals.
6. Prepare recruitment and new hire packets.
7. Conduct new hire orientation (English/Spanish). Maintain record of new hire sign-in sheets.
8. Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
9. Participate and assist in recruitment activities.
10.Maintain confidentiality of information.
11.Serve as back up for HR Secretary.
12.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function
13.Perform other duties as assigned.
