Duties and Responsibilities :As an integral part of the President’s team, under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant I provide moderately complex administrative support to the President’s Office. Work requires knowledge of the organization and involves working closely with the President’s Executive Assistant. The primary function of this position is managing the front office area and supporting the operations of the President’s Office.
- Screen and direct incoming calls, emails, and visitors.
- Maintain the front office area.
- Prepare requisitions, expense reports and other required documents in concert with the President’s Executive Assistant.
- Maintain customer service log and track issues through resolution.
- Maintain and update internal and external contacts and distribution lists.
- Maintain databases and filing systems.
- Receive and sort all mail and packages.
- Assist in ordering office supplies and equipment.
- Assist in day-to-day office operations and tasks.
High school diploma.
Experience:Two years’ experience providing high-level administrative support for a President/Chief Executive Officer or other senior official at a comparable organization.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with students, staff, administrators, diverse campus constituencies, and external entities and stakeholders.
- Good judgment and appropriate discretion and tact in handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to project a professional, polished image in representing the Office of the President.
- Strong technological skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Special Requirement: A skills level assessment will be administered to qualified candidates on Microsoft 2016 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
