Accounts Receivable Specialist

Dana Butcher Associates is currently accepting applications for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its dynamic and collaborative team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for processing and managing payments received, to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts including providing related accounting support and any other accounting-related duties.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Post checks/tenant payments to correct tenant accounts.
• Scan checks to correct bank account/prepare paper deposits as necessary.
• Generate monthly tenant billing statements and send via email and/or mail.
• Set up rent payments via Direct Deposit when applicable.
• Apply and process tenant security deposit refunds.
• Record common area maintenance (CAM), property tax, insurance, utility, and special assessment charges to tenant accounts.
• Apply rent credits, adjustments, and bill backs to correct tenant accounts.
• Research delinquent tenant accounts when as needed.
• Collections of property tax, insurance, utility, and tenant billbacks
• Monitor cash receipts when collections or other action are required as directed by Accounting Manager.
• Maintain accurate accounting record systems.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• College degree preferred.
• Two (2) years' experience performing administrative & accounting duties in an office setting.
• Customer service oriented; excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to accurately type 45-50 WPM and proficiency on a 10-key adding machine required.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people utilizing diplomacy and tact.
• Advanced knowledge in the use of computers, Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and various software.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

Position offers a competitive hourly rate of $23-25 an hour with employee benefits including Health Insurance; Vision; Dental; 401k; Retirement Plan; PSL & PTO. Anticipated work schedule is Mon-Thurs 7:30 am to 5:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 12:00pm
