An established out-of-network Medical Billing company located in New Hyde Park is seeking experienced medical billers with a strong work ethic and superior communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires well-rounded knowledge of the Medical Billing process including pre-submission review, claim submission and follow up.
Responsibilities:
- Review submitted claims for accuracy
- Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies
- Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
- Utilize all available portals for claim information
- Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary
- Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed
Qualifications and skills required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years Medical Billing experience
- Out-of-network billing experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer proficient
