POSITION TITLE: Accounts Receivable Specialist
STATUS: Full time Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of Vista Care's Chief Financial Officer, or designee, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will prepare, verify, analyze and prepare reports on Accounts Receivable transactions. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also be responsible for reconciling the Accounts Receivable ledger accounts and financial statements.

Responsible for the preparation, analysis and reporting of Vista Care's Accounts Receivable transactions, which includes, but is not limited to:
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to Accounts Receivable.
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
Adheres to Accounts Receivable policies and procedures, and ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered
Assists in identifying potential problem accounts and sends follow-up correspondence.
Creates reports of accounts that are in arrears and analyses of bad debt and prepares analyses and reconciliations of bill runs to detect fraud. Reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts
May provide a variety of credit and collection functions.
Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
Performs other office administrative duties including but not limited to assisting with ordering office supplies and other supplies/services.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, is preferred
2-3 years of previous bookkeeping, accounting and/or financial experience preferred
Additional Requirements
Required to pass the WI BID and other background checks, upon hire
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and insurable driving record that meets Vista Care's current driving requirements
E-Verify verification must be completed
Must have good interpersonal skills and consistently demonstrate effective decision-making abilities
Personal vehicle and personal liability insurance must always remain current and within policy limits as determined by Vista Care. Documentation of routine maintenance of a personal vehicle must be maintained and presented to Vista Care upon request
