Accounts Receivable Specialist (Medical Billing)

Accounts Receivable Specialist uses Epic/Dentrix practice management software to oversee and perform all aspects of the health insurance and patient billing at Partnership Community Health Center (PCHC). Accounts Receivable duties include billing health insurance carriers, researching outstanding AR balances and collections of outstanding balances.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited college in business field preferred.
• Medical or Dental Billing experience required- Dental billing strongly preferred.
• Coding certificate preferred.
• FQHC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of government and other commercial insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Submit claims and/or vouchers to all payers according to department policies and procedures, assuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Research and resolve balances in Dentrix and/or Epic charges that meet the criteria for the work queues.
• Assist patients with billing questions. This could be done face to face or via telephone.
• Monitor all payment plans in Epic and/or Dentrix to ensure they are being maintained.
• Assist with patient statements to ensure they are sent in accordance with protocol.
• Work collaboratively with others to promote communication and achieve PCHC goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.17 - $21.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
