Accounts Receivable Specialist

MIT45 is looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services.
Accounts Receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. May also provide support for other Finance department initiatives and projects. Will develop reporting and analysis as needed.
Responsibilities
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording Accounts Receivables' data
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
Reconcile the Accounts Receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify discrepancies by and resolve customers' billing issues
Facilitate payment of past due invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers
Documents changes or entries within the ERP and internal business systems
Communicates with customers about invoices, services, and questions.
Assist with month end production and perform corrections as necessary
Generate financial statements and reports detailing Accounts Receivable status
Requirements
Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Specialist or Accountant
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related-field preferred
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software ie, Aucumatica.
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, etc.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is often required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee may be required to lift 10-50 lbs, at times.
