Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist

SALARY: $50,000 to $65,000

SCHEDULE: Full-time

Monday - Friday

40 hours per week

Flexible Start: 7am - 9am MST

Flexible End: 3pm - 5pm MST

LOCATION: Flexible / Draper, UT

Onsite, In-Person, Work-from-Work OR Hybrid OR 100% Remote

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is an essential accounting role, very much focused on the income side of the accounting equation and managing our system-driven automated bulk processing of approximately 18,000 - 25,000 transactions per month. (Typically, on the higher side during tax season.)

Key Responsibilities

Ensure invoices are properly credited/categorized to the correct tax professional

Measure of Success: 

100% of tax professional licensee commissions are calculated correctly and submitted for the month prior on or before the 4th of the prior month

Monitor automated invoicing and generate one-off invoices as needed via Chargent

Measure of Success:

100% of automated invoices are successfully pushed out on the 1st, 5th, and 10th of each month, and one-off invoices are generated within 48 hours of task assignment.

Monitor system automated A/R follow-up

Measure of Success:

A/R does not exceed 5% of total revenue, and clients who fail to respond to automated system follow-up will receive two courtesy calls from the A/R Specialist. (NOTE: Clients are automatically charged for outstanding invoices. Clients who fail to update their payment information online after 60 days of automated system follow-up and two courtesy calls are fired as clients because our services are in high demand; we have businesses on our waitlist that we can bring on when we have to terminate clients for failing to respond to requests.)

Review system-generated reporting and provide notes/commentary on out-of-the-ordinary items

Measure of Success:

Reporting and commentary are provided by 3pm MST on Tuesdays

The Accounts Receivable Specialist Position Reports to the Company's Controller and other duties and special projects as assigned will be required - including, but not limited to, managing the relationship with our Merchant Services Account vendor - including overseeing PCI Compliance
