Job description
Sam Tell, an established, industry leading commercial food service distributor is seeking a motivated, experienced, professional to join its busy Accounts Receivable department located in its Farmingdale, Long Island location. Successful candidate will support Sam Tell’s Contract/Equipment Division, working within our Credit group.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with product-related Accounts Receivable experience.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for reviewing, managing and administering design and construction contracts. Working closely with contract administrators.
- Responsible for contract review, as it relates to required monthly submissions and timing of such in connection with payments.
- Responsible for maintaining a schedule of active customers, specific monthly deliverables and submission timing.
- Interfacing with general contractors, subcontractors, project managers, sales personnel and other team members as needed
- Reporting on payroll which includes prevailing wage and certified payrolls
- Working knowledge of sales taxes
- Assisting with the preparation, processing, tracking and management of all project documentation. (Contracts, subcontracts, PO’s, submittals, waivers, RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders and all other documents necessary for contract completion).
- Reconciling project summaries to the contracts and ERP/AutoQuotes details
- Other general credit and collection-related responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with commitment to accuracy, timely delivery of tasks and initiatives
- Collections
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing shifting priorities and tight timelines among multiple projects
- Comfortable with the numbers, reconciliations and working with ERP
- Basic Excel knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business related field -OR- equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Experience in a similar role with Construction Contract/AIA billing, a plus
- Experience with AutoQuotes preferred
- Experience with System 2000 (by VAI), a plus
Salary based on experience
Hours of Operation: 8am-5pm
