We are a transportation and logistics company in NJ seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and supporting the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize NetSuite for AR functions, including applying checks, handling ACH transactions, and integrating operating systems.
- Currently, AR is not in NetSuite, and the specialist will facilitate the transition and manage collections appropriately.
- Manage ACH transactions and assist with check processing.
- Keep AR up to date to manage collections effectively.
- Ensure timely and accurate transfers between bank accounts.
- Work with CLI, Cougar, Crown, and Roadvision systems for seamless application of checks and ACH transactions.
- Record transactions in NetSuite and centralize financial data for accurate books.
- Provide timely AR reporting, keeping all financial records up to date.
- Book invoices accurately into NetSuite, apply cash transfers, and manage journal entries.
- Collaborate with the collections team to enhance AR processes and improve cash flow.
- Streamline collections processes for efficiency.
- Utilize pivot tables in Excel for effective data analysis and reporting.
- Initially, 100% onsite at 1 Bell Drive, Ridgefield, NJ. Remote flexibility as the company progresses.
- Transition to a new office in Paramus, NJ.
- Training on CLI for cash applications and other systems as needed.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, especially with pivot tables.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred; QuickBooks knowledge is acceptable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
