About the job:
The AP / AR and Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing the companys payroll and for performing customer payments and collection of accounts. This position is a mixture of responsibilities of both Accounting and HR to help the company meet its goals and growth.
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Support and backup the payroll team. The company is over 100 people and this position will assist the payroll function.
- Must have Workforce Now ADP software experience to process the payroll functions.
- Must be intermediate user of Excel for reporting.
AP/AR:
- Process and post customer payments to appropriate accounts.
- Prepare and send out invoices to customers.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Perform credit analysis and make recommendations for credit limits.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions.
- All other duties as assigned by management
Required:
- HS diploma or equivalent. (College degree is preferred, but not required).
- Previous experience working in accounts receivable or a similar role
- Must have WorkForce Now ADP software experience to process the payroll functions.
- Must be intermediate user of Excel for reporting.
- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
