Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

Job Description:

The AP Help Desk Specialist will be responsible to manage the AP Help Desk line and assist the AP Manager. Frequent communication with AP Manager, finance, and vendors will be necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages HP Help Desk Line
  • Answer vendor questions as they pertain to invoicing
  • Redirect vendors to Purchasing Team as needed.
• Assists in all data entry functions provided by the purchasing team
  • Vendor registration in MDM
  • Bank registration in G-BIZWF
  • Obtain test payment proof from vendor and provide to finance dept.
  • Obtain first payment proof from vendor and close the bank registration case in the system.
• Resolve payment issues and escalate to AP Manager as needed.
• Resolve invoicing issues in various systems (SAP ERP, Procurement Portal, GUAS, etc.) and escalate to AP Manager as needed.
• Submit invoices to Finance.
• Monitor vendor account payment status.
• Communicate remittance details via an email template to vendor.
• Data maintenance in various systems (SAP ERP, Procurement Portal, GUAS, etc.)
• Maintain relationship with finance to coordinate payment issues
• Responsible for AP Help Desk and provision of strong customer service - maintaining a high level of professionalism and high level of knowledge as it relates to current policies and procedures.
• Possess knowledge of basic AP job functions and back up other AP personnel as needed.
• Maintain proper documentation of work and report to AP Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum: Specialist must be computer savvy
• Fluent in Excel, Microsoft Office.
• Be open to learning programs used by Ultium Cells
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
