Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk

SUMMARY:

Employee is responsible for all areas of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and back up and assist within the department upon request. Pay rate is based on experience, and there will be an evaluation at 45 days and at 90 days that will see opportunities for increase to pay.

EMPLOYEE JOB DUTIES:

• Accounts Receivable invoicing
• Maintaining daily A/R
• Accounts Payable activities
• Matching purchase orders to invoices
• Posting of payables
• Maintaining job number credit files
• Customer credit applications
• Collections and claims calls
• Communications with suppliers if there are variables
• Consistent filing
• Assisting with receptionist duties
• Monthly sales tracking

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sit for long periods of time
• Bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• All employees must read and sign Safety Rules and Maintenance Safety Rules, complete welcome packet, given a pair of safety glasses and ear protection (as needed) before working on the floor.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Familiarize yourself with:

• Customers and Suppliers
• Corresponding Departments and the Shared Network
• Company ERP Software
• Individual State Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma.
• Strong Communication Skills
• Organizational Skills.
• Good Mathematical Skills.
• Strong Computer Skills with Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF
• 1-3 Years Experience in Accounting.
• Good Problem Solving and Critical Thinking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
