ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (TEMP) JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for handling vendor payments and other financial liabilities of the organization. Keeps precise records of payments made and owed. Maintains accounting document files. Assists accounting personnel as requested.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (TEMP) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitor Accounts Payable email inboxes/mailbox daily. Handle invoices along with related e-mail/other invoice support.
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment.
- Perform three-way match for purchase orders, packing lists, and vendor invoices.
- Entry of approved invoices in Accounting Software
- Issuing and mailing cheques.
- Ensuring timely processing of all invoices and adhering to payment terms.
- Performs related clerical duties including filing paid invoices, back up invoices, setting up files and preparing boxes for storage.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and classification of expenses
- Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
Requirements
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (TEMP) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related discipline.
- At least 1 year of work experience in an Accounts Payable function, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (TEMP) PAY RATE $22- $24 PER HOUR
