Accounts Payable Clerk--Pt

To support the operation and growth of the Mission by managing invoices, making timely vendor payments, maintaining accurate data, nurturing positive relationships with suppliers, and researching ways to save money and improve the bottom line.

• Record and maintain Accounts Payable in NetSuite. Process bills, utilities, and Accounts Payable invoices for payment when due.
• Maintain a working knowledge of vendor accounts and general ledger account numbers.
• Assist Finance Director with various general accounting tasks as needed.
• Provide assistance to internal Finance team and/or to the external Auditor during the annual financial audit.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Finance Director and Controller

  • Be a genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, as expressed by personal testimony and conduct.
  • Be a member in good standing of a recognized protestant, evangelical church for one year or more.
  • Have a genuine concern for the ministry of City Union Mission.
  • Have a minimum of one year of sobriety from alcohol and drugs and six months from tobacco.
  • Agree to abstain from alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and tobacco while employed by City Union Mission.
  • Have a lifestyle that is free of sexual sin as clearly defined in the Bible.
• Required Skills/Abilities:
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have good organizational and time management skills, be detail-oriented, and handle multiple tasks.
• Education and Experience:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED; college accounting courses preferred.
• Preferred: 2-3 years experience in Accounts Payable and bookkeeping (basic Accounting) in a business office environment.
• Preferred: General ledger software experience.
