Title: Accounts Payable Associate

Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00

Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills to be able to perform general Accounts Payable and recordkeeping duties to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Identify and eliminate deficiencies and inefficiencies within department operations. Oversee, coordinate, and perform clerical and administrative support tasks and assist all departmental staff as required. This is a temporary-to-direct hire opportunity to work at one of Westchester's most dynamic corporations.
Responsibilities
Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
Upload processed invoices into JD Edwards
Qualifications
2 - 3 years in accounting or related field
Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
Detail oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
JD Edwards knowledge is a plus
