The Accounts Payable Manager will:
- Manage the monthly financial close and financial statement preparation processes
- Maintain payment terms for most vendors and reduction of credit holds at the same time as well as prevent credit holds
- Set up policies and procedures for the Accounts Payable Department's written policies and guidelines are available to AP personnel and the network
- Monitor all expenditures to ensure that the unclaimed property records are correct to minimize exposure to the NYS Office of Unclaimed Funds
- Provide continuous training to operating departments on how to complete transactions
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with basic Accounting functions
- Quality Management capabilities
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
