Reports to: Accounts Payable Coordinator

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our dynamic finance department. This position will support the Accounts Payable function in the processing and maintenance of vendor payments for multiple companies. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, must have good data entry skills, must be able to multi-task under a deadline environment and must work well on a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensures the timely review, coding and data entry of vendor invoices into the MRI Accounts Payable system

· Reviews invoices entered into the AvidXchange Accounts Payable system

· Responsible for the verification of approvals of invoices prior to payment and obtains approvals when necessary from the proper contact

· Review, coding and data entry of Con Ed invoices into excel for upload into the AP system

· Review for approvals and coding of employee travel and petty cash reimbursements

· Prepare payments for mailing, ensure proper mailing address, special delivery instructions

· Interact with vendors and internal staff to obtain missing invoices and troubleshoot issues

· Maintain vendor files and vendor invoice filing monthly

· Assist with permanent file maintenance and storage of accounting records

· Support Accounts Payable Coordinator with vendor account analysis

· Support Accounting Staff with invoice copies, document research and special requests

· Support the annual audit process requests for invoices

· Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management. 2-5 years of experience in the Accounts Payable department, real estate or social services a plus. Experience with MRI and AvidXchange software a plus. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Proficiency using Excel and Word.
