Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP has an immediate opening for an accounting professional working in our headquarters office in Binghamton, NY. Prior experience managing accounts payable is preferred. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Primary responsibility is to handle the administrative and clerical needs for the AP function of the law firm.
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; provide compliance with firm policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners.
- Sort, log, scan and file invoices, checks and other documents.
- Additional duties will vary depending on experience and the needs of the department and the law firm.
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing.
- Highly organized, detail oriented with a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Two-year Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
