Accounting Clerk

ReadyWork is hiring a Accouting Clerk in the Tulare area. This position is a Temp to Hire, Monday through Friday opportunity. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in Agriculture.

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, budgeting, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and utilizing accounting software. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and possess knowledge of accounting software such as PeopleSoft and Paychex.

Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations
- Utilize accounting software to perform daily tasks efficiently

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
