Job Description
Primary Functions:
The position of the Operations Coordinator will be a high energy, multi-responsibility position that will oversee the daily operations of the Workforce Development (WFD) area. Responsibilities includes implementing the WFD training programs, daily program delivery needs, instructor related needs, student support services, client/partner related needs, and interdepartmental coordination and communication. The position requires excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Flexibility, creative problem solving, and independent decision making are also required. The position is primarily funded by an Office of Strategic Workforce Development Grant until December 2025.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Manages and prioritizes the daily WFD communications flow both internal and external (email, phone, other)
- Oversight of WFD program delivery at all locations proprietary and independent
- Operational liaison with program partners and delivery sites
- Provides customer service for current and potential students
- Responsible for WFD course registration oversight, maintenance and enrollment
- Manages data collection for reports
- Manages book inventory for programs
- Work with the Director of Workforce Development, Associate Director, Director of Healthcare and Director of IT:
- Program Scheduling
- Program fairs, open houses, and recruitment fairs
- Program Enrollment
- Program Completion and Certificates
- Employment follow-ups
- General office responsibilities:
- Reception
- Record keeping
- Office organization
- Maintains an office presence on the home and extension campus sites
- Other duties as assigned by the ADWFD and DWFD
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma required, with 1-3 years of professional experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- All required vaccines to work in a medical setting are current and up to date
- A valid NYS license and reliable transportation
