Job Summary:
We are currently a team of 4 IT professionals providing IT infrastructure support to the National Gallery of Art. The National Gallery preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters the understanding of works of art, at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards.
We are seeking a full-time Windows Solutions Engineer with RHEL experience to work with our customer in a Redhat Linux 7.x environment. In this role, you will join the contracting team to support the customer's IT Ops, Infrastructure & Security Engineering team. You will work closely with the customer's other internal and external teams to help build a reliable, stable, high performance, core infrastructure platform for hosting highly critical systems. You will partner across multiple efforts to develop and drive the overall design, development, and operational maturity of the customer's core infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities:
- Some on-call responsibility for emergency situations may be required.
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
- Troubleshoot and perform break fix including emergency after hours onsite support Plan, design and implement software services and upgrade OS.
- Manage and configure Active Directory (AD) Attributes, LDAP Queries, PowerShell Scripting to Modify AD Attributes, Group Policy Analysis, GPO Configuration & Item Level Targeting, Workstation Configurations, Browser Configuration Settings, working with System Owners to integrate applications with Active Directory.
- Perform operating system and VMware administration, account management and provisioning activity.
- Analyze cyber security vulnerability scan reports and apply vendor patches including but not limited to WSUS.
- Perform changes as required and respond to outage resolution requests promptly.
- Maintain storage subsystems.
- Support evolving CyberSecurity initiatives and on-demand rollouts.
- Provide support to IT Vendor Manager to perform asset management activities.
Requirements:
- Authoring Active Directory group policy objects to enforce security configuration requirements.
- Managing Microsoft updates with WSUS and/or SCCM Troubleshooting OS and software updates and incidents caused by such changes.
- Managing third party security products such as Tenable Security Center, McAfee EPO, Splunk, and FireEye.
- Reporting to management on complex datasets across multiple projects.
- Recording and capturing work in a ticketing system.
Experience:
- Managing updates on *NIX systems.
- Managing updates on third-party appliances with firmware.
- Administering AWS EC2 resources and virtual machines.
- Administering Azure resources and virtual machines.
- Administering VMWare servers and managing guest VMs.
- Administering and enforcing security configuration requirements on SQL Servers.
- 8+ years' experience designing and managing multiple Active Directory Forests and Domains for a large, geographically dispersed.
