Wellness Coordinator

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be available mornings, evenings, and weekends
• 2+ years of administrative and customer service experience
• Knowledge to teach a variety of health and fitness modalities and an advance understanding of all YMCA healthy living programs
• Strong Interpersonal communication and computer skills
• Experience in hiring and supervising others
• YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certification (within 90 days of hire)
• Nationally Recognized Group Exercise Instructor Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal communication and computer skills
• Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification, Nationally Recognized Group Exercise Instructor Certification
• Bilingual skills in Spanish

Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Healthy Living, the Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive environment at the Marin Y through successful implementation and management of the Marin YMCA's Wellness Attendant, Personal Training and other Wellness programs. Following the Y of San Francisco's member engagement strategies, the Wellness Coordinator will create strategies and tactics in collaborating with branch leadership and healthy living staff to this end. The Wellness Coordinator will work approximately 20 hours in an administrative capacity and 20 hours in a direct service capacity through Wellness Attending, Personal Training, and/or Group Exercise.
Salary range: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
