The role.
The VP US Sales & Motor-Drives Business Unit Manager will fill a critical P&L and sales leadership role in the business and lead US sales for the company, developing a team across the country. The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned sales leader, accustomed to leading a large, geographically diverse team, with a track record of effectively driving accountability and results. Responsible for a volume up to $0.5 billion and 10 direct reports including 4 Sales Management teams.
This position reports to the Innomotics LLC CEO. The ideal candidate must be central to eastern US and be based near a major airport hub for ease of US travel.
Your profile.
  • Lead, train, empower and mentor the US selling organization of direct, indirect and partners.
  • Focus on serving customers, implementing continuous improvement of sales process, and developing sales professionals. Ensure comprehensive, living and action-oriented customer account plans.
  • Work at all levels of the customer's organization from field service, plants, engineering, procurement to the C-suite to achieve market share growth and market diversification in all product lines including Medium & Low Voltage Motors, Drives, Systems, Solutions and Services volumes.
  • Connect to the changing market and competitive landscape, collaborate with global Innomotics factories and Portfolio Management teams to plan and implement strategies that meet future market needs, yield best price, and deliver profitable growth.
  • Plan and coordinate the annual Sales Commission Plans that drive profitable growth, competitiveness, and retention of talent.
  • Be the key US point of contact for the global Sales organization and collaborate across the 49 global sales countries to maximize winning in the market at End Users, OEMs, Distributers, Partners and EPCs.
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships and act as the executive sponsor for key clients.
  • Collaborate with global proposal teams to ensure the most accurate and competitive quotation offers.
  • Lead the US Motors, Drives & Systems P&L, interface with global factories to ensure high delivery reliability and quality, own the local Project Execution organization.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor+ degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership, selling, motors & drives
  • Proven execution, process, and improvement orientation
  • Must have technical selling experience with proven leadership of large regional or national sales organizations.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-national company with a technical portfolio, high-performance factory, and international-selling environment.
  • Strategic problem solver, able to anticipate market trends and implement initiatives to impact sales performance and results.
  • Strong communication story-telling and presentation skills
  • Travel as needed to support customers and the sales organization.
  • Leadership and membership in US motor, drive, and industry technical associations.

The pay range for this position is $189,376 - $324,645. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
