Olive Recruiting is seeking a Vice President of Sales for our client that specializes in software for chemical, materials and bioscience research for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer packaged goods, aerospace, energy and chemical industries.
The Vice President of Sales will lead and strategize the sales and account functions, ensuring successful achievement of quota objectives. This role involves directing the sales team, developing account strategies, managing partner channels, overseeing sales enablement activities, and collaborating with indirect sales partners in the Life and Material Sciences industries. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this individual will work closely with other executives to define brand direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor team performance to exceed set goals
- Promote customer excellence
- Represent the client globally
- Drive double-digit growth through internal and external initiatives
- Build and manage sales and business development teams
- Execute revenue plans
- Ensure accurate forecasts
- Develop sustainable business pipelines
- Lead business reviews
- Contribute to annual sales plans
- Oversee renewals collection and growth
- Facilitate collaboration between sales team and client ecosystems
- Review and approve account strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over 10 years of experience in selling complex enterprise software, SaaS, and service solutions
- Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing substantial revenue strategies and specialized sales leadership
- Preferably experienced in Laboratory Informatics, Research Informatics, Molecular Modeling, and Simulation space
- Industry knowledge in at least one of the Biopharmaceuticals, Chemicals, and Materials Science sectors
- Experience with value engineering, strategic, and consultative selling in business transformation contexts
- Ability to conceptualize overarching strategies while ensuring meticulous execution
- Proven leadership skills in managing and motivating diverse teams through transformative plans
- Collaborative team player with the ability to influence across the organization
- Open to relocation, with preference for New York, Dallas or Seattle.
