As the Vice President of Restaurants & Bars (VP R&B), you'll meticulously assess and enhance the performance of restaurant and bar operations within your region. Your focus includes maintaining compliance with company standards, franchise standards, legal requirements, and policies. Collaborating with the VP of Catering & Event Management, Sales, and Marketing leaders, you will also contribute to catering and banquet operations.
ResponsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring performance management and termination.
Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers and/or directors.
Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
Develops policies practices and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives.
- Coaches and counsels team leaders on property on areas for improvement and development for team leadership.
- Lead the development promotion and financial aspects of regional restaurant and bar operations collaborating with property GM F&B teams and regional operational leaders.
- Ensures all restaurant and bar operations are profitable and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Guide on-property and regional leadership in the creation and management of annual budgets. Including identify anomalies and work with operational leaders to improve financial results.
- Coordinate with the Director of Training & Task Force to implement standards and policies evaluate talent and recommend development opportunities.
- Introduce best practices monitor program effectiveness and report findings to the Managing Director.
- Address complex complaints develop operational practices and perform investigations or audits including cost monitoring and financial audits.
- Responds to requests from ownership groups in a timely and professional manner. This includes assisting in developing Capex plans with property leadership and Managing Dir. as needed.
- Guide on-property leaders to enhance property meetings address guest service complaints and ensure adherence to franchise procedures.
- Respond to market changes revise strategies and collaborate with property leadership on marketing plans and pricing strategies.
- Manage human resources functions for restaurant and bar senior leadership addressing turnover employee development and retention.
- Ensure compliance with mandated programs such as purchasing through the 'Mix & Muddle' program and protect assets through preventative maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director on new concept ideation programming development training and openings.
