Our 125 employees manufacture components for critical applications in the following industries: Aerospace, Commercial Transportation, Diversified Industrial, Power Sports and Recreation, and Medical. OGS Industries is a third generation, family owned and operated business, with three plants located in Akron, Ohio. Our goal is to grow 4x to $80 million in sales in the next 10 years through organic growth and business acquisitions. OGS's ideal customer generates above $100 million in sales as a company/division, and at maturity will purchase above $500,000 in product from OGS on an annual basis.
About the VP of Sales Position
We are seeking a VP of Sales to build out and formalize the sales program and take our company to the next level. The VP of Sales will be part of the executive management team and report directly to the CEO.
We currently have over 200 active customers and over 1,500 dormant customers. In addition, we have identified 40 customers, each with over $1 billion in sales, with significant potential growth opportunity. One of the primary projects for the VP of Sales is penetrating these large customers and their respective divisions to grow sales. We utilize Hubspot as our CRM, and GlobalShop as our ERP.
VP of Sales - Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage 4 internal sales people to help them grow current customers and attract new customers
- Be responsible for developing your own book of business
- Develop and execute the company's strategic sales plan
- Identify markets where we have competitive manufacturing advantages and build sales programs to penetrate those markets and customers
- Act as the face of the company visiting key customers and attending tradeshows
- Champion marketing efforts through internal activities and/or the online marketing agency
- Oversee the Estimating and Customer Service Manager to assist in matters affecting sales
- Manage and develop outside manufacturer reps program to bring in new business
- Work with others in the company on pricing, volume, and market strategies to maximize profitability on jobs
- Establish performance metrics, reporting out on a timely basis to the CEO, and provide feedback and solutions to how we can meet sales goals and objectives
- Manage customer contracts and assist in negotiation of new contracts as needed
- Assist in due diligence during the acquisition other manufacturing businesses, and integrate new manufacturing facilities capabilities into the overall sales plan
- Travel as necessary, expectation of 20%-40%
Experience
- A proven track record of having developed and led a successful sales program with multiple salespeople
- +10 years of senior leadership experience
- Metal manufacturing experience preferred
Compensation
- Commensurate with job title and experience. Bonus is based on company EBITDA goals and personal performance.
