The Team
The Darwin Homes team is composed of a diverse set of alumni from DoorDash, Square, Facebook, Apple, LinkedIn and other top technology companies. The founders and executive team have over 30+ years of combined experience in scaling disruptive technology and operations-focused businesses.
Darwin Homes was backed by top Silicon Valley venture capital (Khosla, Fifth Wall) and was acquired by Pagaya Technologies, a publicly traded company, in early 2023. Pagaya is an AI/ML data technology company with offices in Tel Aviv, New York and Austin.
The Role
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of SFR homes, including Property Management, leasing, turns, repairs & maintenance, and all other functions related to portfolio operations
- Use data-driven insights to achieve portfolio KPIs and regularly report on portfolio performance to both internal and external audiences
- Manage a cross-functional team of Property Management professionals
- Drive operational excellence by developing best practices, ensuring SOPs are followed, and managing team performance
- Lead regular portfolio performance review meetings and proactively address performance issues with the client
- Provide feedback to internal teams in alignment with strategy and organizational priorities, and drive the change required to achieve those strategies and priorities
Requirements
- 5+ years experience managing a residential real estate portfolio with experience in single family or build to rent.
- 5+ years account/client relationship management experience
- Ability to use data to drive decision making, identify opportunities, and prioritize initiatives
- Prior experience in a start-up, or similarly fast-paced environment, where individuals must be agile, proactive, and able to executive with limited resources
- Must be able to work autonomously and deal with a high degree of ambiguity
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and track record of leading cross-functional initiatives to completion; the ability to lead both strategic and tactical initiatives with the same degree of ownership and drive
- Financial acumen, with a proven ability to manage a P&L and business performance to plan
- 5+ years of leadership experience directing operations teams; managing team performance, identifying personnel needs, and coaching to expectations.
