ECI is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a passion for customer success to join our Global Professional Services (GPS) team as the VP of Professional Services (PS).  The VP of PS will lead a dynamic team of 50+ technical resources including Development Engineers, Data and BI Consultants along with Installation Consultants. This team supports multiple ERP systems and various technology projects to deliver effective technical services that meet customer needs, adhere to schedules, and operate within budgetary constraints.

As a key executive leader within our GPS, the VP of PS is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the Technical Services organization that are overall aligned to the Global Professional Services vision and strategy. To be successful in doing so, this resource must have extensive experience in transforming people and processes to meaningfully change outcomes driving ongoing business uniformity and efficiency.

This is a permanent full-time position that can be based remotely in North America, or in one of our US offices in Minneapolis, MN, Fort Worth, TX or Mt. Laurel, NJ and you must be legally allowed to work in the US.

Responsibilities:

The VP of Professional Services is responsible for the organization's key objectives and will oversee the management of the Technical Services department P&L. Key Performance Indicators will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Service Delivery Quality
  • Service Delivery Timeliness
  • Resource Utilization and Capacity
  • Expense and Revenue Targets

 

In addition, the core responsibilities include the need to:

  • Develop strategic plans and vision to ensure the successful implementation of technical services and consulting for the organization.
  • Setup and monitor KPIs while leading efforts for ongoing enhancements, improving engineering processes and efficiency.
  • Develop budgets and schedules of resources required to meet company objectives through technical services and consulting.
  • Forecast the business revenue on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Drive the team to achieve their annual targets both revenue and utilization.
  • Maintain current hardware and software technology expertise within the project's domain.
  • Stay updated on new development technologies and staff productivity tools.
  • Lead the development of corporate methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects and initiatives that support continual process improvement for technical services and consulting.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and implement relevant metrics for monitoring performance of the team.
  • Collaborate with international and domestic TS business executives to identify and develop strategic plans, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and confirm use of best practices for coding standards, performing thorough code reviews and ensuring quality assurance procedures are in place.
  • Recruit and mentor team of engineers and consultants, cultivating an atmosphere of innovation, cooperation, and ongoing advancement in a fast-paced and high-performing environment.
  • Effectively manage the financial and ongoing resource management needs.
  • Identify cross-training opportunities within vertical industries and build synergies.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities to team members.

 Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior IT Management experience required centered around delivering technical services and supporting customer-facing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in a broad array of security software applications and tools.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern programming languages for API applications.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience leading a sizeable organization that is cross-functional and deeply technical in nature
  • Deep expertise in building teams, scalable processes, and metrics-based management to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
  • Solid financial acumen and experience in managing budgets effectively.
  • Strong management and leadership abilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and vendors.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
