Thompson Thrift is hiring a Full-Time Vice President, Development Capital for the corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for generating new streams of equity by identifying, establishing relationships, and communicating with High-Net-Worth Individuals, family offices, registered investment advisors, and financial institutions to bring awareness to Thompson Thrift’s partnership offerings, and turn prospective partners into long term active partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for helping to generate and secure new streams of equity to meet the Company’s development and income fund goals. This includes continuously expanding the Company’s equity investor base and the achievement of periodic capital creation goals. In this capacity, the role is responsible for the creation and execution of plans to identify, build relationships and communicate with high-net-worth Individuals, family offices, registered investment advisors, and financial institutions to bring awareness to partnership offerings and turn prospective partners into long term active partners. This includes conducting industry research to analyze and react to trends, themes, and competitor activity; leveraging the equity capital markets team appropriately for both portfolio insights and partner meetings; developing and articulating in-depth knowledge of the strategy and business plans of Thompson Thrift’s partnership offerings and current economic headwinds and tailwinds impacting these projects; and helping to coordinate internal and external marketing campaigns, presentations, and documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of proven success in business development in the real estate fundraising space.
- Active Series 7, 63, and 82 license (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to articulate the company’s platform with credibility to potential partners and important stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed capital raise targets.
- Willingness to travel for partner meetings and industry events, as required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding and familiarity with real estate (multifamily background preferred).
- Strong network of existing relationships in high-net-worth, family office or RIA space preferred.
