Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the translation of the team strategy for the molecule/new indication/line extension into a single global integrated plan, incorporating cross-functional and geographic needs, and applying Accelerate Reach & Scale principles.

  • Accountable for delivery of global, integrated plan deliverables for the asset in alignment with the global strategy and plan to deliver portfolio value with quality on time, on budget and within scope.

  • Accountable for operational leadership and organizational excellence of the assigned team, including performance of cross-functional/corporate processes, alliance/partnership management, affiliate relationships and team culture.

  • Effectively manage team, upward and cross-functional communication, anticipate and resolve barriers inhibiting the team from being successful, with both an asset and portfolio perspective in mind.

  • Lead the Oncology Development Forum, ensuring organizational alignment on key asset tactics and strategies.

  • Accountable for ensuring project information and documentation of key team/asset information and decisions are current in enterprise project management systems.

  • Lead, coach & mentor Asset Leaders & PPM team members within Oncology Development. Utilize LRL COO principles to further develop existing talent, and build a talent hub within Oncology.

  • Provide project management and leadership for special initiatives that are cross functional in nature. Examples include but are not limited to in-license evaluation and improving MDU or BU drug development capabilities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field required. Advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry in drug development and commercialization.

Additional Preferences:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and project execution

  • Excellent organizational change management skills to lead organization through both cultural and process changes that may have resistance.

  • Excellent interpersonal, self-management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities, set personal and team priorities and adjust as needed.

  • Excellent Business Acumen; including the ability to leverage business principles within the team while maintaining a corporate view of the portfolio.

  • Flexibility to adjust quickly and effectively to frequent change and altered priorities

  • Demonstrated experience performing project leadership and management for an integrated cross-functional project

  • Strong scientific background with demonstrated learning agility across drug development subject matter.
