Veterinary Receptionist

Veterinary Receptionist: Full-time/Part-time

Our Veterinary Hospital is currently looking for an experienced part-time receptionist to help fill in at our busy hospital in Mukilteo, WA. Position is to start immediately. Total hours per week range from 15-30 hours, with rotating Saturdays. We are closed Sunday's. Wage DOE.

The following is a list of minimum requirements for job eligibility.

Essential job duties and Responsibilities:

• At least 1 year of Front Desk Veterinary Receptionist Experience, including using veterinary practice management software. Clinic is currently using IDEXX NEO.
• Provide top notch customer service
• Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states
• Answer and triage client phone calls
• Schedule appointments, boarding reservations and procedures
• Check in clients
• Monitor Client flow from check in to discharge
• Monitor schedule and flow
• Client next day confirmations and upcoming reminders calls
• Client Education
• Process payment transactions
• Maintain proper documentation
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer skills: ability to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email and other skills needed to effectively use practice management software.
• Lift up to 30lbs, bend, sit, stoop and stand for long periods of time
• General office skills: copying, dusting, organizing, filing, faxing, etc.

In general our receptionists must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, detailed note taking, compassion, a positive attitude, follow-through and excellent communication and team work skills. Multi-tasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential. Punctuality is expected.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
