The incumbents duties will include but are not limited to:
- Light vehicle and equipment maintenance (cleaning and repair work)
- Parking lot and grounds maintenance
- Building maintenance (unskilled)
- Equipment and supply deliveries
- Completing forms and records as necessary
This position is part of the Civil Service Basic Union Contract represented by Council 5 of AFSCME.
Please Note: This temporary seasonal position will be full-time hours.- Distinguishing Features of Work
An employee in this class performs routine maintenance tasks in a County Department. Duties include general grounds work; routine maintenance of vehicles, buildings and equipment; and delivering equipment and supplies. The work is performed under the supervision of a designated supervisor or higher level employee.
- Work Environment
These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT: Work around others; move about; reach; use fingers; feel; hear; smell; near vision; depth perception; color vision; and field of vision. FREQUENT: Work alone, work inside; work outside; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; handle; talk; and walk. OCCASIONAL: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; encounters with wildlife and exposures to illnesses borne by wildlife/insects may occur.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
