Job description
Under general supervision, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the overall monitoring, coordinating and reviewing of the accounts payable and payroll processes while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards. This includes assisting with processing the bi-weekly (ADP) payroll for the salaried and hourly staff, maintaining the necessary accounting records required for monthly financial statements and other financial reports required by the department, full cycle accounts payables, processing vendor inquiries and maintaining vendor files.

Education and/or Experience:
• BA/BS degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting or Business.
• Three years related payroll and accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies
• Good organizational abilities
• Proficiency in ADP or other payroll system, accounting software, spreadsheet programs and standard email and MS Office programs e.g. MS Word, Excel.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be dependable, able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
