Responsibilities:
- Assist New Patients on completing demographic forms as necessary, review forms, and update on system for new and existing patients
- Educate and discuss the dentist’s treatment plan with the patient after diagnosed and reviewed by the clinical staff, explain, promote, and adhere to company payment policies and procedures
- Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining cost of treatment, insurance coverage and finance options
- Present treatment plans and give estimates of treatment costs in an effective manner
- Achieve sales and collection goals
- Track all outstanding treatment plans, make phone calls for recalls and unscheduled treatment plans daily
- Submit, track and follow-up on pre-authorizations
- Solicit referrals from patients post operatively while at the same time tracking patient satisfaction with work provided
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Collect payment from patients prior to visit and allocate accordingly
- Batch insurance claims accordingly
- Monitor ledgers on a daily basis for the following day to ensure that there are no outstanding balances
Qualifications:
- Professional, prompt and excels in providing top-notch customer service
- Excellent, strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Team-player (There is no "I" in T.E.A.M)
- Multi-tasker, who is detail oriented
- Computer savvy
- Knowledge of dental terminology and understands insurance plans/benefits and accounts receivables
- At least 2 years’ experience in treatment planning/financial coordinating
