The Treatment Coordinator will be responsible for new patients’ smooth transition into the Dental Practice, existing patients’ ongoing dental care, communication with patients during treatment and communication with specialty offices. Reports to the
Doctor.
1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: a) Insurance/Billing
Retrieve insurance information for the various covered plans and determine benefits prior to treatment.
Discuss with patients regarding their insurance coverages and what they will owe on the date of service.
b) Financial Services
Manage patient financing program.
Prepare and present Treatment Plans to patients (with or for doctors)
Arrange Payment Plans with patients
c) Patient Management
Keep track of all Treatment Plans presented.
Follow up with both new and old patients on their treatment plans for possible scheduling and return appointments.
Conduct recalls for cancelled appointments and no show.
d) Reception
Serve as backup receptionist as needed.
e) Office Participation & Professionalism
Be kind and courteous to patients, staff, doctors, and others.
Be an active participant in staff meetings
- Perform tasks as assigned by the dentist or manager
- Take initiative to identify and execute ways to continually improve individual and practice performance
- To the extent possible, help others perform their tasks when overloaded or backed up or to otherwise increase the operational and emotional performance of the practice.

3. Qualifications and Experience for the Job:
a) High School graduate and formal training from a vocational school or equivalent b) Other Training, Skills, Certifications, & Key Competencies c) Experience in dental treatment coordination, dental assistance, or dental front desk coordination d) Knowledge of Dentrix will be an added advantage
