AFW is looking for organized and energetic Traffic Administrator Assistant II to coordinate OTR pick-ups and deliveries with vendors, shippers, customers, drivers, and AFW facilities.
Starting pay of $19.72/hr DOE (depending on experience). We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and weekly pay to all of our Full-time Team Members.
Job Requirements

- Plans, implements, and monitors day-to-day transportation operations, including analysis of on-time delivery reliability and manpower needs.
- Ability to apply technology up to and including Electronic Logging Devices, iPads, dispatch software, and windows.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of McLeod Load Master TMS preferred but not required.
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
Job Expectations

- Knowledge in the areas of DOT regulations, policies, and procedures, management/supervisory concepts and techniques, scheduling and routing, PC word-processing/spreadsheet software applications, shipment and distribution of freight and furniture products.
- Interpret transportation operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions.
- Oversee and provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift.
- Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
- Telephone booking and coordination of freight in a cost-effective manner for the company.
- Communicate with drivers on pick-up and delivery of loads.
- Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointment times with customers and drivers.
- Communicating effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures.
- Pre-planning the use of company drivers and equipment for optimal efficiency.
- Track/trace shipments when requested.
Physical Requirements
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
- Long periods of sitting and standing.
- The Traffic Administrator position requires lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving for 8 hours or more daily.
