Maintenance
Position Scope
Load and unload tools, equipment, materials, and other items from trucks, carts, forklifts, and trailers. This includes rolling out at the beginning of a shift and rolling up at the end of a shift. Includes cleaning up job sites and keeping shop area clean and organized.
Provides general labor assistance to workers. This work may include but is not limited to digging, sweeping, cutting materials, measuring, or other trade related work. Works with basic hand tools and power tools as instructed by supervisor.
Works with hand tools and small equipment such as power washers, airless sprayers, compressors, line trimmers, blowers, mowers, etc. as directed by supervisor.
Accurately accounts for time using the facilities work order system.
Assists with set up and break down of special events as directed by supervisor.
Cleans, adjusts, maintains, and returns to storage all tools and equipment used in the performance of assigned duties.
Becomes thoroughly familiar with the safety procedures to be followed in the use of all manual or power equipment and employs those procedures during use of equipment. Uses PPE properly as instructed.
Performs other job-related functions as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
Should be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write and express information verbally in English, as well as understand written and oral instructions in English.
Must be in good health, able to perform a full range of body movements and be able to lift and move 40-50lbs on a regular basis.
Should have a working knowledge of hand tools used in general construction trades.
Must have good dexterity and be able to work on scaffolds and ladders, and not be afraid of heights.
No prior work experience necessary.
