Essential Job Duties:Assisting with field operations at Cunningham / Lower Coastal / Caswell Research Stations. This will include planting crops and crop maintenance activities. Also includes limited operation of farm equipment and maintenance of equipment. This position will also provide assistance with landscaping, grass mowing and simple building maintenance around the farm. All of these operations will be supervised by a full-time employee of the farm.

- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, pollen, heat, humidity)
- Must be willing to work in tobacco and other horticultural crops
- Must be able to stoop, bend, climb, pull and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to routinely lift 50-100 lbs. of fertilizer and seed
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Agricultural research experience
- Valid driver’s license
