Participates in a variety of activities that include packaging, labeling, building crate, prepare ng shipments for Domestics and International. Receiving, storing, delivering, loading, and unloading Burner parts, equipment and other supplies to store in designated inventory location while adhering to all Cabot safety standards.
This role is a temporary contract position with a duration of 6 months to 1 year.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Shipping sale order to other Cabot plant worldwide.
• Prepare domestic and international shipments, including building crate for outgoing Burner parts. Perform packaging, labeling, generation commercial invoices, EEIs, AWBs and other documents and labels as required.
• Interact with freight forwarders, commercial trucking services, CEVA Logistics, Dachser Air & Sea, FedEx and UPS. Provide information for most cost-efficient methods to meet customer requirements.
• Receive incoming package both parcel and freight. - Inspect incoming burner parts according to AutoCAD drawing requirements.
• Operate a forklift to transport goods and materials throughout the plant. Operate other equipment such as pallet handlers, hand trucks, etc. Ensure material handling equipment (fork truck, golf cart, manual carts) is regularly inspected.
• Load and unload truck.
• Kitting work order. - Work in a safe manner and in accordance with safety training. Participates in scheduled safety meetings. Supports and participates in SH&E programs.
• Complete assigned work orders through JDE system as required.
• Provide excellent customer support and service to research and development organization and internal business partners.
• Ensure workspace remains clean and orderly. Utilize 5S principles and practices.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of related experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office, Oracle, FedEx, UPS, software experience preferred.
- Experience shipping DG per DOT/IATA regulations preferred.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment.
- Ability to interpret operating instructions; written, verbal and listening communication skills and to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
