Position Overview:

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Commonwealth Soap, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of products in and out of our facility. This position requires a candidate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying product quality and quantity, and maintaining accurate records of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping Operations:

• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Generate shipping labels and documentation.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Receiving Operations:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Unload, categorize, and store received products in designated areas.
• Update inventory systems to reflect received items.
• Communicate with suppliers to address discrepancies or issues with received goods.

• Inventory Management:

• Maintain organized and efficient storage of products.
• Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate product availability.

• Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Keep detailed and accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
• Generate reports on shipping and inventory metrics as required.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with shipping and inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
