Job Summary:
Perform a variety of duties relating to all shipping, receiving and material handling activities within the company in a safe, effective and efficient manner that meets both business and customer requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures. Candidates MUST have a valid driver's licsense as making deliveries using the company truck will be a part of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in all shipping and receiving activities for the company
- Understanding of Eclipse software
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining database
- Verify count of transported items shipped/received using established procedures
- Accurately stock shelves
- Package and label preparation
- Load and unload materials
- Operate UPS/FedEx manifest systems
- Maintain tracking documentation
- Communicate with all co-workers in related departments
- Maintain a clean and orderly working area and warehouse
- Provide a back up to the company delivery driver as needed
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
SKILLS and QUALIFICIATIONS:
- GED, high school diploma or evidence of sufficient reading, writing, mathematical and computer skills to fulfill job responsibilities
- Experience in Shipping Receiving department preferred
- Ability to input and process information through computer system and UPS system
- Detail oriented and close attention to accuracy
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license, medical card and good driving record for back-up driver needs
- Reliable transportation to and from the Avon, MA facility
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete documentation
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Frequent reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting heavy items up to 70lbs unassisted
- Ability to use a keyboard for data entry and manipulation
- Ability and license to operate company vehicles
- Excellent attendance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
