SalaryBH Zion LLC is seeking a skilled Technical Writer/Editor to assist in the organization and development of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing various documents, conducting research, ensuring the use of proper technical terminology, translating technical information for diverse audiences, and preparing online documentation for Windows applications. This role may also include performing certain financial and administrative tasks.
Description
- Create and edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other customer deliverables or documents.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure the accurate use of technical terminology and translate complex technical information into clear, readable documents suitable for both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Preparing all online documentation using standard help compilers for Windows environments.
- May also be required to assist in financial and administrative functions, as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Your Qualifications:
- An Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in technical writing and editing.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under general direction.
- At least two (2) years of specialized experience in preparing and editing technical documents.
- Experience in conducting research for applicable standards is required.
Location: Various client sites throughout the state of Maryland.
- Please note that this role is contingent upon contract award.
