As a Technical Writer, you will be trusted with providing technical writing support to document all program deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.
Job Description
- Preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, user documentation, etc.
- Writing and editing technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software requirements to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
- Producing implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; providing field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formatting technical
publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources. - Standardizing documentation by creating and implementing templates for all document types.
- Providing technical writing support to document all Infrastructure Services deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.
- Maintaining document library to enable ease of document storage, retrieval, updates, and reviews.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience preparing and editing technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editing.
- Knowledge of and ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications.
- Knowledge of the organization's products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user's level of understanding.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-starter.

- Act as project leader for projects with complex or voluminous documentation and may provide or coordinate special documentation services as required.

- Associate's Degree 8 years of experience
